The LilThing gives players an authentic P90 voice in a guitar routed for humbuckers, without requiring any additional woodwork.
 
Most humbucker-sized P90s use conventional humbucker bobbins. Because a true P90 coil is wider and longer, I developed custom bobbins that maximise the available winding space and reproduce the open, organic character of a genuine P90.
 
Based on the P90 Grainy Mate, the LilThing combines vintage-style dynamics, excellent clarity, warm mids and articulate crunch. Plain-enamel wire and Alnico 2 magnets give it a smooth, expressive response.
 
Supplied unpotted by default for a more open sound, with vintage-style braided ground leads.
 
Every set is built to order. Before winding your pickups, I may contact you to confirm model-specific choices such as RWRP wiring or wax potting. This personal setup service is included at no extra cost.
