The Black Dog is inspired by the finest late-1950s and early-1960s PAF humbuckers. Its combination of Alnico 2 and Alnico 5 magnets delivers an unmistakably vintage voice with excellent clarity, dynamics and touch sensitivity.
 
Carefully offset coils add rich upper harmonics and an open, organic texture. Clean sounds remain detailed, while overdriven tones stay articulate and musical.
 
The set is supplied unpotted by default for maximum openness and uses vintage-style braided ground leads.
 
Every set is built to order. Before winding your pickups, I may contact you to confirm model-specific choices such as RWRP wiring or wax potting. This personal setup service is included at no extra cost.
